Dr. Gragg earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Physics from Midwestern University (now Midwestern State University) in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1966. In 1968, Dr. Gragg received his Master's Degree in Radiological Physics from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.  Finally, in 1974, he was awarded a Doctorate Degree in Radiation Physics from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Science in Houston (now U. T. Health Science Center at Houston).

Currently, Dr. Gragg also works for Lange-West, P. A., a radiation group in San Antonio, Texas. Before coming to the AHA Regional Cancer Treatment Center, Dr. Gragg worked at the San Antonio Regional Hospital, the Santa Rosa Healthcare Corporation, and for the U. S. Public Health Service, Food and Drug Administration in the Bureau of Radiological Health. 

Dr. Gragg has an active background in radiation therapy and has authored many presentations and technical papers.  His most recent publication was a Chapter for the Handbook of Medical Physics titled Calibration of Medium Energy X-Ray Units.
